I studied painting under David at Columbia University.


David LundPainter David Lund received a BA from Queens College in 1948. He spent the next two years studying at New York University's Graduate School of Education. Lund taught at Cooper Union in New York and Parsons School of Design before coming to Washington University in St. Louis, where he taught from 1966-76.

Lund, a founding member of New York's March Gallery, is known for his paintings of abstracted landscapes. His work is represented in the permanent collections of the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Baltimore Museum of Art, among many others. He has received many awards, including a Fulbright grant and purchase prizes from the Ford Foundation and the Childe Hassam Fund of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
